Meet the Team
Kristin Leung

Kristin Leung brings over two decades of experience in leading athletics, fitness, and wellness programs. Her diverse array of certifications allows her to create classes that emphasize the integration of physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
She began her journey in cancer support in 2011 as a Livestrong at the YMCA instructor. Working closely with cancer survivors, she has witnessed their remarkable courage and resilience, inspiring her to dedicate her volunteer work to the cancer community. In 2014, Kristin became a volunteer Livestrong Leader, focusing on community education, fundraising, and advocacy. In 2017, she completed the Mindful Yoga for Cancer Training at Duke Integrative Medicine, deepening her understanding of holistic wellness practices.
Currently, Kristin offers both in-person and virtual fitness classes and wellness workshops in State College, PA. She has also presented at various yoga festivals and retreats across the United States. Additionally, Kristin is a three-time keynote speaker at the Livestrong at the YMCA Assembly, where she shared her insights and experiences in supporting cancer survivors.
Outside of her wellness pursuits, Kristin is a dedicated secondary science teacher and an avid traveler, having explored 45 states, including 16 states alongside her gray tabby cat, Lavender.

Jo Anna Hopkins
Jo Anna has over 30 years of experience in fitness instruction and personal training, with a particular focus on supporting individuals facing health challenges. She is a certified instructor for the "Livestrong at the YMCA" program, which she began in 2013. Through this program, she has led multiple 12-week groups that help cancer survivors improve their health and well-being through tailored fitness and wellness strategies.
Currently, Jo Anna teaches water aerobics year-round, both outdoors in the summer and indoors during the colder months. She also works with active older adults as a chair aerobics instructor at the Brandywine Assisted Living Facility in Pennington, NJ, and the Ewing Senior Center in Ewing, NJ.
In addition to her fitness work, Jo Anna has over 35 years of experience in dance instruction. She specializes in classical ballet, tap, jazz, and modern dance and is a certified teacher of the Cecchetti Method of Ballet. As the owner of “Ballet Workshop II” in Ewing Township, NJ, she teaches students of all ages. She has also developed a program called “Integrating the Art of Ballet in the Pre-School Classroom,” which she has presented in workshops for Young Audiences of New Jersey and NJEA.
Outside of teaching, Jo Anna enjoys participating in races and events throughout the year. Since 2007, she has competed in various triathlons, including the Rutgers Unite 8k, where she won first place in her age group in 2012. She also takes part in the Sprint NJ Triathlon, the 5 Boro Bike Tour in NYC, and other local biking events.
